First Snow!

I heard it was supposed to snow today, but I thought it would be way up in the Catalinas, not right outside my door. Knock, knock—”Shelly! Wake up! Look outside!” Rob wanted to make sure I didn’t miss it—I leapt out of bed, threw my boots on and ran outside to see the whole desert blanketed in white—the large, soft flakes falling all around me. What a magical way for Tucson to tell me to hang in there, not to let the last few days of sadness make me stray. These beautiful, wide open spaces keep entrancing me with their changing moods and mystical ways.
